Job summary

Self Direct Support Options Fife is seeking a patient, confident carer for a happy 6-year-old boy with autism. The role includes following routines, collecting from school, and taking him to a club on Thursdays, with some personal care, and ensuring safety during journeys by car, bus or train.

PVG enhanced disclosure is required; a driver’s licence is preferable. You should be reliable, flexible, and able to stay calm, with a good sense of humour to support the child and family.

Qualifications

• PVG check required (enhanced disclosure).
• Experience caring for children with autism and speech delay is desirable.
• Ability to follow routines and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collect child from school and accompany to clubs on Thursdays.
• Provide personal care as required and ensure safe environment.
• Support with daily activities during car, bus and train outings.
