Job summary

Self Direct Support Options Fife is seeking a compassionate personal assistant to support a 4-year-old boy with cerebral palsy and epilepsy. You will help him get out and about, accompany days out with his family, and support him to have fun, both at home and in the park.

Ideal applicants will be patient, reliable, and able to interact with a child who is non-ambulant and nonverbal. Training can be provided; PVG check is required; driving would be beneficial but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for a child with additional needs such as cerebral palsy and epilepsy.
• Willingness to learn and receive training.
• Able to assist with personal care and suction.
• PVG check required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Help the child get out and about, accompany days out with the family, and support him to have fun.
