Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teaching assistant with experience in supporting students with autism to work in a wonderful special needs school in Islington. As a teaching assistant, you'll play a vital role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with special educational needs. If you have an in-depth understanding of autism, along with a commitment to promoting individualized learning and encouraging social-emotional growth, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with autism, assisting them in academic tasks, social interactions, and behavioral management.
  2. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment by promoting acceptance, empathy, and understanding amongst students.
  3. Monitor student progress and behavior, documenting observations and communicating effectively with parents and caregivers.
  4. Stay informed about strategies for supporting students with autism, participating in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
