Job summary

Ambitious about Autism is seeking a Teaching and Learning Assistant for our new school for autistic young people in Kingston, Spring School. The role involves providing person-centred day-to-day support, 1:1/paired and small group teaching, and facilitating community-based learning to help learners reach their academic and vocational goals.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred, day-to-day support, delivering 1:1, paired and small group teaching and learner sessions.
• Supervise and support learners to engage in community-based learning and educational visits.
• Use creativity to support lesson plans by preparing materials and resources.
• Support learners to develop life skills, communication, independence and participation.
