You will help him access the local community and enjoy activities while maintaining routines that support wellbeing.

The role focuses on promoting safety, comfort and enjoyment, supporting family respite needs, and working in a calm, patient way.

Qualifications

• Provide safe, friendly and person-centred support to a young person with autism who is non-verbal.
• Assist with accessing the local community and engaging in activities that interest him.
• Maintain routines to support wellbeing and promote safety.

Responsabilités

• Promote safety, comfort and enjoyment for the young person.
• Provide respite support to the family as needed.
• Support PECS communication and supervising interactions to ensure a calm environment.
