Job summary

Leaders in Care is seeking an Adult ASD Assessor to join a multidisciplinary clinical team in the UK. You will conduct structured autism assessments for adults, gathering developmental and background information, and contribute to diagnostic decisions.

You will write clear, neurodiversity-affirming reports and discuss outcomes with individuals in an accessible way. Registration with NMC/HCPC and experience in adult autism or neurodevelopmental services are required.

Qualifications

• Current registration with NMC, HCPC or equivalent.
• Experience in neurodevelopmental, mental health or adult autism services.
• Experience contributing to or completing autism assessments for adults.
• Strong clinical reasoning and ability to work within a structured assessment pathway.

Responsibilities

• Complete structured autism assessments for adults.

• Review developmental history and supporting information.
• Collaborate with the MDT to support diagnostic decisions.

Salary: £47,000 – £55,000 per annum | Full-time or part-time | Monday–Friday

Are you an experienced clinician with a background in adult autism assessment?

We are working with an established healthcare provider looking for an Adult ASD Assessor to join their clinical team and support high-quality autism assessments for adults.

The Role

You will be part of a multidisciplinary service, working with individuals and other professionals to build a clear understanding of each person’s presentation and reach evidence-based outcomes.

• Completing structured autism assessments for adults.
• Gathering relevant developmental, clinical and background information.
• Reviewing developmental history and other supporting information.
• Working with the wider MDT to support diagnostic decisions.
• Writing clear, professional and neurodiversity-affirming reports.
• Discussing assessment outcomes with individuals in a sensitive and accessible way.

What We're Looking For

• Current NMC, HCPC or another relevant professional registration.
• Experience working within neurodevelopmental, mental health or adult autism services.
• Experience contributing to or completing autism assessments for adults.
• Strong clinical reasoning and the ability to work confidently within a structured assessment pathway.
