Job summary

East London NHS Foundation Trust in Bedford is recruiting a clinician with autism expertise to join the Autism Assessment Pathway (AAP) within the CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Team.

You will conduct standardised autism assessments (ADOS, 3Di, ADI-R), write reports, and contribute to service development. This is a permanent, full-time post with a clear pathway for CPD and leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

• Professional registration in a relevant field (see above).
• Evidence of postgraduate diagnostic training such as ADOS, 3DI.
• Experience in specialist autism assessment and formulation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive autism assessments using standardised tools (ADOS, 3Di, ADI-R).
• Write confidential diagnostic reports for families and professionals.
• Convey sensitive information clearly and supportively.
• Offer specialist autism advice to individuals and families.
• Provide consultation and training on autism to other professionals.
• Undertake training, audits and research as required.
• liaise with the NDT team and CAMHS colleagues; support primary care and partner agencies.
• Maintain accurate records in RiO and CPA databases.
