Job summary

The Neurodevelopmental Pathway at Tees, Esk And Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust in Selby is seeking a registered nurse with CAMHS experience to undertake specialist assessments for autistic presentations in children and young people. You will join a skilled multidisciplinary team delivering autism diagnostic assessments and contribute to timely, child-centred decision making.

You will conduct developmental and parental interviews, perform neurodevelopmental screening and ADOS-2 assessments

Qualifications

• Current professional registration with Nursing & Midwifery Council (RNMH/RNLD) or equivalent.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
• Recognised Practice Supervisor and/or Practice Assessor, or willing to achieve within 6 months.
• Trained in Clinical Supervision or willing to work towards within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Undertake developmental and parental interviews to explore autism and neurodevelopmental presentations, including structured tools like ADI-R.
• Conduct specialist observational assessments, including ADOS-2 where trained to do so.
• Complete neurodevelopmental screening assessments and gather information from multiple sources.
