Job summary

Senploy is seeking an Autism Learning Mentor to work 1:1 with a pupil in a school setting. The role runs Monday to Thursday during term time, offering a stable routine and a pathway to develop specialist autism support, communication, and inclusive learning.

You will collaborate with teachers and the SEND team, monitor progress, adapt strategies, and help the pupil gain confidence and independence over time.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with autism or SEND.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) and references.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for one pupil during school hours.
• Support communication, learning, transitions and engagement.
• Assist with emotional and sensory regulation and social interactions.
• Observe progress and share findings with teachers and SENDCo.
• Work closely with teachers and the SEND team to ensure consistent support.
• Help the child become more confident and independent over time.
