Job summary

Adler & Allan is seeking an Authorised Persons Coordinator to oversee Confined Space AP activities at Portsmouth Naval Base with occasional travel to customer sites. The role ensures safe, compliant operations across marine defence contracts.

You will work with operational teams, customers and SHEQ to maintain JSP375 and Safe Systems of Work, while monitoring qualifications and driving continuous safety improvements.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Confined Space Authorised Person qualification.
• Strong knowledge of confined space operations and permit to work systems.
• Willing to undertake IOSH accredited health & safety training.
• SC Security Clearance obtainable.
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee Confined Space Authorised Person activities across marine defence sector contracts.
• Provide support, guidance and technical expertise to the wider team of Authorised Persons.
• Ensure all confined space activities comply with legislation, JSP375 requirements, customer procedures and safe systems of work.
• Collaborate with operational management to ensure appropriate AP coverage and resource planning.
• Support internal and external audits, maintaining documentation and processes.
• Monitor AP qualifications, training requirements and competency records.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote safety and compliance throughout the business.

Marlin Environmental Services is seeking an Authorised Persons Coordinator to oversee and coordinate AP activities across our marine defence sector contracts.

Working closely with operational teams, customers and SHEQ, you will ensure confined space works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with legislation, JSP375 requirements, customer procedures and established Safe Systems of Work.
You will also support audits, promote continuous improvement and help maintain the highest standards of compliance across all AP activities.

Qualifications

About you:

• Must hold a current Confined Space Authorised Person qualification
• Have a full understanding of confined space operations, permit to work systems and safe systems of work
• Be willing to undertake and successfully complete IOSH accredited Health & Safety training
• Possess a strong understanding of confined space legislation, processes and associated safety procedures
• Have awarenessof or have experience working within MOD establishments and JSP375 requirements
• Be able to obtain and maintain SC Security Clearance
• Have excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Be proactive, detail oriented and committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance
