Job summary

Mitie Group plc. delivers AE role at AstraZeneca site in Stockport. We seek an experienced Authorised Engineer to lead Safe Systems of Work, audit and inspect assets, and support governance of AE services with focus on Working at Height.

You will interview and appoint APs, conduct audits, provide technical guidance to teams, and participate in incident investigations. A background in risk assessments, governance, and statutory compliance on site is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Authorised Engineer or similar role.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and site inspections.
• Ability to apply standards and codes of practice to develop solutions and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Interview, assess and appoint Authorised Persons in aligned disciplines.
• Conduct audits of Safe Systems of Work relevant to the post holder's specialism.
• Provide technical guidance and ongoing support to Authorised Persons.
• Undertake technical inspections and condition assessments of assets.
• Assist in incident investigations within the post holder's discipline.
• Provide technical expertise to contract teams operating within the relevant specialism.
