The Role

An exciting opportunity for a Capability Lead – Information Knowledge Management & Enablers has arisen within the Australian Capability team. Our nuclear business is a leader in propulsion system design and development for the Royal Navy's nuclear submarine fleet and the sole provider and technical authority, managing all aspects of plant design, safety, manufacture, performance, and through-life support.

Our customers are embarking on programmes of national and strategic importance, and our goal is to provide them with the right advice and support to establish world-class and nuclear-safe capabilities.

As the Australian Capability Lead – Information Knowledge Management and Enablers, you will advise our customers to ensure all systems and enablers that deliver programme success are fit for purpose and ready on time. This involves identifying data, information, and system requirements to support the construction and sustainment of nuclear-powered submarines.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across functions such as Security, Export Control, Information Technology, IKM, Intellectual Property, and Commercial to unify messaging and strategy, ensuring programme success.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work across various UK sites, engage throughout the CADMID cycle, interface with multiple industrial partners on a significant project, and potentially travel internationally.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of Enabler strategies critical to programme delivery.
• Engage with stakeholders across government and industry to define programme requirements.
• Provide expert advice on data management and information flow to support strategic decisions and operational effectiveness.
• Develop plans and schedules for delivering enabling solutions and infrastructure.
• Act as the main liaison with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on capability delivery.
• Manage your activities and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Ensure outputs meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery standards using the Rolls-Royce Management System.
• Support beyond your role scope in areas like policy, regulation, export control, security, logistics, programme management, and strategy as needed.

Candidate Profile:

• Degree or equivalent in Business Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
• Knowledge of NSRP information governance and processes.
• Experience with multiple organizations in areas such as IT, IKM, export control, security, project management, IP, and commercial sectors.
• Ability to manage stakeholders at various levels and build consensus in complex scenarios.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, comfortable with ambiguity and change.
• Experience working within multi-disciplinary or matrix teams.
• Understanding of high-security, nuclear, or safety-critical environments is advantageous.
