Qualifications

  • Relevant banking industry audit experience or understanding of risks and regulatory requirements in 2LOD functions.
  • Strong analytical skills with knowledge of risks, controls, and regulations in banking.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; German language skills are a plus.

Job Title: Auditor - Legal & Regulatory and Exam Management

Location: Birmingham

Corporate Title: Associate

You will be part of the Group Audit Chief Administration Office (CAO) Legal & Regulatory and Exam Management team, reporting into the responsible Principal Audit Manager (PAM) based in Frankfurt / Germany, and reporting to the Chief Audit (CA) with global responsibility.

The CAO Legal and Regulatory and Exam Management team is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within Group Audit Deutsche Bank. Our audit mandate covers Group Legal, Group Governance, Regulatory and Exam Management, and Control Testing & Assurance.

Your key responsibilities
  • Execute operational audit work and contribute to audit delivery, including risk assessments and business monitoring
  • Document process activity flows, identify risks, and evaluate controls to mitigate risks
  • Perform audit fieldwork, testing controls, and documenting work per Group Audit standards
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure an integrated approach
  • Complete audit work within designated budgets
  • Maintain open communication with global Audit Team members and provide subject matter expertise as needed
Your skills and experience
  • Project management and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, innovative, efficient, and stakeholder engagement skills under pressure
  • Relevant banking industry audit experience or understanding of risks and regulatory requirements in 2LOD functions, especially Legal and regulatory interactions
  • Strong analytical skills with knowledge of risks, controls, and regulations in banking
  • Professional qualifications in internal audit (e.g., IIA) and legal qualifications are desirable
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; German language skills are a plus
