Job summary

The National Audit Office in London is seeking an Application Support Analyst to maintain reliable, secure audit systems and support controlled change. You will work with auditors, internal teams and suppliers to resolve incidents, support releases, and create clear guidance and documentation.

The role requires ITIL familiarity, strong data and analysis skills, and a customer-facing approach. You will contribute to continuous improvement and ensure audit technology aligns with governance

Qualifications

• Experience supporting business-critical applications or digital services, including incident triage, service requests, escalation and resolution.
• Good understanding of IT service management, including incident, problem, change, release, deployment and knowledge management.
• Ability to diagnose application issues and work with technical teams or suppliers to agree fixes or workarounds.
• Experience supporting releases, upgrades or patches, including testing and defect management.
• Experience creating user guidance, training materials or knowledge-sharing content.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality application support for users, taking ownership of incidents and service requests through to resolution or escalation.
• Investigate application issues and perform root-cause analysis with technical teams or suppliers.
• Manage access changes, joiner/mover/leaver processes and periodic reviews with least-privilege access evidence.
• Monitor availability, performance, data quality and service trends, and propose improvements.
• Support change, release and knowledge management processes, including testing and evidence recording.
• Plan functional, regression and user acceptance testing for releases and patches, with clear post-release checks.
• Coordinate supplier support tickets and maintain documentation, training materials and guidance.
