Audit Stream Learning & Development – Faculty Manager

Learning and Development (L&D) is a key enabler of our strategy within the Audit Stream and is critical to our success. Effective L&D underpins quality and productivity by developing the necessary knowledge and skills for our people to reach their potential.

Implementing effective L&D requires specialist resources to identify training needs and respond appropriately. It involves careful planning, project management, a critical-thinking and commercial mindset, and an understanding of regulatory requirements. We also consider the latest innovations, tools, and technology to develop tailored, relevant, and timely learning experiences.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a talented, high-performing, and ambitious manager to join the Audit Stream L&D team during a period of strategic embedding. You will work alongside our existing Faculty Manager to implement and maintain the Faculty strategy and broader offering, supporting effective learning and facilitation. This position reports to the Business Partnering and Implementation Lead within the Learning Implementation team.

The Learning Implementation team ensures our learners have the best possible experience by delivering effective programmes and managing project, risk, financial, and commercial aspects. The Faculty supports programme delivery through facilitation, comprising dedicated facilitators who support all programmes year-round. The Faculty Managers oversee daily operations, faculty member onboarding and development, and evaluation in collaboration with the Monitoring and Reporting Team. They are also key members of the wider programme delivery team, supporting project management for in-person programmes.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Implementing and maintaining the Faculty strategy to meet business needs and manage delivery risks.
  2. Coordinating the Faculty to deliver against business outcomes.
  3. Evaluating Faculty effectiveness and presenting insights to the Leadership Team and Learning Steering Committee where appropriate.
  4. Supporting programme delivery with onsite project management or facilitation.
  5. Managing stakeholder relationships, including liaising with People Partners on Faculty matters.
  6. Monitoring faculty utilization and individual performance, reporting risks, and proposing solutions.
  7. Managing the Faculty project plan with the wider Learning Implementation team.
  8. Supporting the development and coaching of Faculty members to enhance their delivery skills.
  9. Acting as a specialist L&D facilitator on key programmes when appropriate.
  10. Collaborating with L&D to ensure sufficient facilitator support across programmes.
  11. Supporting project management of programmes within the wider LI team.
  12. Introducing innovative delivery methods to enhance learner experience.
  13. Driving standardization and simplification of LI processes to improve quality and efficiency.

Required skills and experience include:

  • Manager (or equivalent) with an interest or passion for Learning & Development.
  • Formal L&D qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience in delivery is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Understanding of business strategy and focus on operational excellence and quality.
