Job Description
Ideas | People | Trust. We’re BDO, an accountancy and business advisory firm providing the advice and solutions entrepreneurial organizations need to navigate today’s changing world. We work with Britain’s economic engine—ambitious, entrepreneurial, high-growth businesses—and directly advise their owners and management teams.
Learning and Development (L&D) is a key enabler of our strategy within the Audit Stream and is critical to our success. It supports our ability to attract, develop, and retain talented people who take pride in their work and deliver successfully for our business.
Effective L&D underpins quality and productivity by supporting our people to develop necessary skills and knowledge, helping them reach their potential. It requires specialist resources to partner with the Audit Stream to identify training needs and respond appropriately. Careful planning, project management, a critical-thinking mindset, and an understanding of regulatory requirements are essential.
We consider the latest innovations, tools, and technology to support personalized, relevant, and timely development for our people. This role offers an opportunity for a talented, high-performing, and ambitious manager to join the Audit Stream L&D team during an exciting period of embedding our new Faculty strategy. The role involves implementing and maintaining the Faculty strategy and supporting ongoing delivery of key programs as facilitators.
This position is within the Learning Implementation team, reporting to the Business Partnering and Implementation Lead. The team ensures effective delivery of learning programs, managing project, risk, financial, and commercial aspects, including leading the Faculty proposition. The Faculty supports program delivery through facilitators who are responsible for onboarding, development, and evaluation.
The Faculty Managers oversee daily operations, manage Faculty members, support their development, and evaluate their performance. They will also be key members of the wider program delivery team and support project management related to in-person programs. Responsibilities include implementing the new Faculty strategy, stakeholder management, monitoring faculty utilization, managing project plans, and supporting faculty and facilitator development.
The role requires working with the wider L&D team to ensure sufficient facilitation support, bringing innovative delivery methods, and driving standardization to enhance quality and efficiency.
Required skills and experience include managerial experience with an interest in L&D, strong communication and relationship skills, project management capabilities, understanding of business strategy, and a focus on operational excellence and quality. Formal L&D qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
We foster a people-centered culture, supporting career development through mentoring, coaching, and collaborative working environments. Our agile framework and state-of-the-art spaces promote sharing ideas and continuous learning. At BDO, we aim to help entrepreneurial businesses succeed, fueling the UK economy, powered by our people’s expertise and innovative spirit.
