Job summary

A global accountancy firm is seeking an Audit Senior for its offices in Jersey or Guernsey, Channel Islands. The role involves supervising financial reporting, managing client engagements, and mentoring junior staff. Candidates should be fully qualified or nearing qualification in ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent, with at least 2 years of external audit experience. This position offers valuable offshore experience with potential for career growth, located just a short flight from mainland UK.

The Company

Reach International is working with this Global Accountancy firm to appoint Audit Seniors to either their Jersey or Guernsey, Channel Islands offices to start as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain invaluable offshore and financial services experience including US reporting, whilst paying lower income tax, and being situated a 30 minute flight away from mainland UK.

The Role

• Supervise financial reporting and statutory filing and compliance assurance engagements of clients
• Supervise multiple concurrent engagements with professional staff and direct the preparation and completion of reports, accounts and financial statements
• Advise a client portfolio within the Financial Services sector, predominantly focusing within Funds/Asset Management/Private Equity clients
• Ensure assignments are run within budget, time and resource requirements
• Mentor assistants by counselling and assisting them in the management of all aspects of their work lives and in obtaining their career objectives

The Candidate

• Fully qualified or close to qualification: ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA or equivalent
• At least 2 years External Audit experience from an accountancy firm
• Financial services experience advantageous but not essential
