Job summary

PKF Francis Clark in Poole is seeking a qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA audit professional to lead varied statutory audits, develop strong client relationships and mentor junior colleagues, all while enjoying a genuine work‑life balance and clear progression opportunities.

You’ll be part of the Professional Practices team, handling a portfolio of law-firm clients, gaining sector knowledge, and receiving support across the firm as you train on sector matters.

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA required.
• Strong statutory audit experience in professional practice.
• Experience leading audits and managing client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver statutory audits for a portfolio of law firm clients.

As part of our Professional Practices team, you’ll work with a diverse portfolio of law firm clients and gain strong sector specialist knowledge. You’ll be joining a collaborative team where you’ll have the autonomy to make an impact while benefiting from the support and expertise across the firm. Experience with law firm clients would be beneficial but is certainly not essential as training on sector specific matters will be provided.

What you’ll be doing day to day

• Planning and delivering statutory audits for a portfolio of law firm clients
• Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Managing audit teams on-site and remotely, ensuring quality and deadlines are met
• Building and maintaining trusted relationships with clients and key stakeholders
• Identifying technical and commercial issues and providing practical solutions
• Supporting managers and partners with complex assignments and advisory projects
• Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing constructive feedback
• Coaching, mentoring and developing trainees and qualified colleagues
• Preparing audit files and reports for manager and partner review
• Contributing to the continued growth and development of the Professional Practices team

About you

• ACA or ACCA qualified/part-qualified
• Strong statutory audit experience gained within a professional practice environment
• Experience leading audits and managing client relationships
• Knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) and audit methodology
• Able to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage with clients and colleagues at all levels
• A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in developing others
• Professional, client-focused and commercially aware
• Comfortable using modern audit and accounting software
• Full clean driving licence and access to a car
