Job summary

Accountable Recruitment in Liverpool is assisting a growing, people-focused mid-tier firm to recruit an Audit Senior Manager. The role leads audits for SME/OMB client portfolios, oversees planning, fieldwork and completion with technical excellence, and mentors a developing audit team.

You will collaborate with Partners to shape departmental strategy, build strong client relationships and drive growth toward Director/RI responsibilities.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
• Confident leading teams and managing multiple assignments.
• Strong background in SME/OMB audit work is desirable.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver audits across a varied SME and OMB client portfolio.
• Oversee planning, fieldwork and completion, ensuring technical excellence.
• Coach, mentor and develop a growing audit team.
• Review audit files and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Strengthen audit processes and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Build strong, long-term client relationships and add commercial insight.
• Work closely with Partners on departmental strategy and client service delivery.
• Play a key role in shaping the ongoing growth of the Audit function.
• Opportunity to broaden scope and progress towards Director/RI responsibilities.
