Audit Senior Manager

Manchester

£70,000 - £75,000

Following a meeting with the Partners of a Top 10 firm, we are looking for a strong and dedicated Audit Senior Manager to join their Manchester auditing team.

Your role as an Audit Senior Manager:

• Act as audit lead on a range of financial services clients, leading and directing all aspects of audit services delivered.
• Responsible for maximizing profitability from a portfolio of clients, including budgeting, WIP control, and billing.
• Support Partners in group sales and marketing activities, playing a leading role in client pitch teams and attending networking and marketing events when required.
• Act as a mentor to team members across the auditing teams and other departments, covering resource planning, performance management, training, and recommendations for promotion.

What you'll need to succeed:

• ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent.
• Good working knowledge of GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP, and financial reporting requirements.
• Working knowledge of financial products, firm services, issues regarding advice, regulation, and compliance.
• Strong people management skills with the ability to mentor and coach more junior individuals, including those outside of audit.
• Experience in systems/controls testing as well as substantive auditing would be beneficial.
• Experience of working within a UK accountancy firm.
