Job summary

TPF Recruitment is representing a prominent firm of chartered accountants in Portsmouth, offering a flexible opportunity for newly or part-qualified professionals. The role focuses on audit fieldwork, planning and execution, and preparing statutory financial statements while identifying risks.

The ideal candidate is ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent, with at least 2 years of audit experience, solid IFRS/UK GAAP knowledge, and strong communication and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of audit experience in a reputable firm.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, IFRS/UK GAAP and applicable legislation.
• Excellent analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Active involvement in audit fieldwork and planned procedures at client premises.
• Lead planning and execution of audits with thorough documentation.
• Prepare statutory financial statements from client data and highlight risks.
• Plan and finalise audit assignments for Partners/Managers review.
• Increase portfolio responsibility with manager guidance.
• Help achieve revenue and profitability targets.
