Job summary

Rutherford Briant is seeking a qualified Audit Senior to join its Crawley team. You will lead audits for a portfolio of corporates, growing businesses and international groups, developing client and leadership experience toward progression into management.

This visible role offers responsibility with access to Managers, Directors and Partners, plus hybrid and flexible working arrangements and ongoing technical development.

Qualifications

• Experience leading audit fieldwork from planning through to completion.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards.
• Ability to manage client relationships and lead audit teams.
• Comfort with coaching junior staff and providing feedback.

Responsibilities

• Lead external audit engagements from planning and fieldwork through to completion.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with client finance teams and senior stakeholders.
• Coordinate assignments to ensure work is delivered accurately, efficiently and within budget.
• Review the work of junior and part-qualified colleagues.
• Coach team members and provide constructive feedback throughout assignments.
• Prepare and review financial statements under UK GAAP.
• Identify audit issues early and communicate clear, practical solutions.
• Work closely with Managers and Partners on technically complex areas.
• Use modern audit and data-analysis technology across remote and client-site engagements.
