Job summary

Christopher Brian Recruitment Limited is recruiting for an Audit Senior / Assistant Manager based in Reading. You will own audit assignments from planning through to completion, working directly with clients and developing junior team members.

The role offers progression towards Manager level and ongoing technical training. We seek someone with solid UK accountancy practice audit experience and ACA/ACCA qualifications; experience at Assistant Manager level is not essential.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent.
• Solid audit experience gained in a UK accountancy practice.
• Ability to coach trainees and juniors and liaise with clients.

We're working with a well-established accountancy practice in Reading that's continuing to grow and is looking for an Audit Senior or Audit Assistant Manager to join the team.

There's flexibility around level, so the position can be shaped around your current experience and where you want your career to go next.

The Role

You’ll work with a varied portfolio of clients, with responsibilities including:

• Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Managing fieldwork and ensuring assignments stay on track
• Reviewing work completed by trainees and semi seniors
• Coaching and supporting junior team members
• Liaising directly with clients throughout the audit process
• Identifying issues and discussing these with managers and partners
• Building your technical knowledge while taking on greater responsibility

About You

You'll ideally have solid audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practice and be ACA/ACCA qualified.

Previous Assistant Manager experience isn't essential - this could equally suit an experienced Audit Senior ready to take the next step.
