Page Personnel is representing a highly respected independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers in the South West. They seek an Audit Senior to lead audits across varied sectors, with progression opportunities and a strong focus on professional development.

The role involves planning, fieldwork, and mentoring junior staff, delivering compliant financial statements, and maintaining client relationships with Managers and Partners.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified and UK audit experience.
• Strong understanding of audit methodology and financial reporting.
• Experience leading audit assignments and reviewing work.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit planning and fieldwork for a portfolio of clients.
• Deliver high-quality and compliant financial statements.
• Review the work of junior staff and provide feedback.
• Identify and resolve technical audit and accounting matters.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout engagements.
• Coach, mentor and develop junior staff.
• Ensure assignments are delivered efficiently and to deadlines.
• Work with Managers and Partners on a broad range of audits.

Job Description

As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services to a varied portfolio of clients across a broad range of sectors. Working closely with Managers and Partners, you will take responsibility for planning and leading audit assignments while supporting and developing junior team members. This position offers excellent exposure to clients, responsibility from day one and genuine opportunities to progress your career within a growing and successful practice.

• Lead audit planning and fieldwork assignments for a portfolio of clients
• Deliver high-quality and compliant financial statements
• Review the work of junior team members and provide constructive feedback
• Identify, investigate and resolve technical audit and accounting matters
• Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout engagements
• Assist with coaching, mentoring and developing junior staff
• Ensure assignments are delivered efficiently and to required deadlines
• Work closely with Managers and Partners on a wide range of audit engagements

The Successful Applicant

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Previous audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practice
• Strong understanding of audit methodology and financial reporting
• Experience managing audit assignments and reviewing work
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong organisational and project management abilities
• A proactive approach with a genuine desire to develop and progress
