Job summary

Ideal candidates will have UK accountancy practice experience with a strong audit background, ACA/ACCA part-qualified or qualified, and the ability to lead or support audits from planning to completion.

Responsibilities

• Leading and assisting on audit assignments from planning through to completion.

• Preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships throughout the audit process.
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate.
• Working across a specialist and varied client portfolio.

Our client, a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in central Bristol, is looking to strengthen its audit team with the addition of an Audit Senior / Semi Senior.

This opportunity would suit someone with UK accountancy practice experience and a strong audit background who is looking to join a supportive firm offering exposure to a specialist client portfolio and excellent long-term career opportunities. The firm is open to both part-qualified and fully qualified candidates who are looking to continue developing their career within audit and accounts.

The Role

As part of the team, you will be involved in a varied role, including:

• Leading and assisting on audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Preparing audit fieldwork and supporting documentation
• Working closely with managers and partners to deliver audits efficiently and to a high standard
• Preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships throughout the audit process
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate
• Working across a specialist and varied client portfolio

You will gain exposure to a broad range of assignments, allowing you to further strengthen both your technical expertise and client-facing skills.

About You

• Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice environment
• Strong audit experience gained within practice is essential
• ACA / ACCA part-qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience candidates will be considered
• Experience leading or supporting audits from planning through to completion
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
