Audit Senior

Stockport & Manchester | Permanent - Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

Hybrid working, must be local to the office | £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

We are working with one of the largest UK payroll providers, a leading firm of Accountants and Business Advisers operating across the UK, Ireland, and the Nordics. They are expanding and seeking talented individuals within Audit and Assurance.

About the Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Audit Senior to join a dynamic and forward-thinking Audit & Assurance team. This role offers the chance to be part of a collaborative environment that supports professional growth.

As an Audit Senior, you will be pivotal in completing audit fieldwork, executing planned substantive and analytical procedures primarily on-site at client premises. Responsibilities include planning, executing, and completing audit assignments, ensuring proper documentation, preparing statutory financial statements, and identifying high-risk areas for reporting.

As you progress, you will take on additional responsibilities such as planning and finalizing audit assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading audit fieldwork and executing procedures.
  • Preparing audit documentation in line with standards.
  • Reviewing financial statements and highlighting risk areas.
  • Collaborating with Managers and Partners to meet client needs.
  • Mentoring junior team members.
  • Maintaining effective client communication.
Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in an audit-focused role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of audit procedures and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach.
