Audit Senior

Are you an experienced auditor ready for your next big career move?

We’re working with a well-established and rapidly expanding Top 40 accountancy group, looking to recruit a talented Audit Senior to join their Manchester team. Known for their people-focused culture and dynamic growth, this firm offers genuine opportunities for development and progression in a supportive and modern working environment.

As an Audit Senior, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality audits to a varied and growing portfolio of clients. You’ll be leading assignments from planning through to completion, liaising directly with clients, and mentoring junior team members, all while building your own skills and progressing your career.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead statutory audits from planning to completion across a broad client base
• Build trusted client relationships and act as a key point of contact on-site
• Review work completed by junior team members, offering feedback and development support
• Prepare and review financial statements in line with UK GAAP
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure audit quality and meet deadlines
• Identify risks and control weaknesses, offering recommendations for improvement
• Assist in the training and development of trainees and semi seniors

Required Skills

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist with relevant experience)
• Previous experience in an audit-focused role within a UK practice
• Strong working knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards
• Confident communicator with great client service skills
• Organised and deadline-focused with strong attention to detail
• Ambitious, team-focused, and eager to progress
