Audit Senior

Are you a qualified auditor ready to join a dynamic and forward-thinking firm with a strong regional presence?

We’re recruiting on behalf of an independent firm of chartered accountants and business advisors with an exceptional reputation for supporting clients across sectors with expert financial guidance and strategic insight.

This is an exciting opportunity to join their Liverpool audit team as an Audit Senior. You’ll be taking ownership of audits from planning through to completion, working alongside talented professionals in a firm known for its engaging culture, supportive leadership, and career growth opportunities.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead on-site audits from start to finish, managing timelines and delegating effectively to junior team members
• Deliver high-quality audit work in line with regulatory standards and firm methodology
• Review and supervise the work of audit juniors, providing coaching and constructive feedback
• Prepare on-site audit findings reports, flagging key risks and concerns to senior stakeholders
• Build trusted client relationships, maintaining clear and professional communication throughout the audit process
• Collaborate across departments to deliver joined-up services, recognising wider opportunities for clients
• Drive continuous improvement through sharing knowledge and contributing to a culture of learning

Candidate Requirements

• Experience managing audits within a professional accountancy firm
• Strong understanding of audit quality and regulatory standards
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
• Team leadership experience and the ability to mentor junior staff
• Up-to-date knowledge of FRS, IFRS and audit methodologies
• Working knowledge of CaseWare and CCH is advantageous, but not essential

What’s On Offer
