Job summary

Michael Page International Recruitment Limited in Leeds is seeking an Audit Senior to plan, carry out and complete audit assignments for a diverse client base. You will review financial statements, ensure compliance with UK standards, and address discrepancies while mentoring junior team members.

Effective client communication and strong knowledge of UK audit principles are essential to deliver timely, high-quality service and maintain regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification, or approaching qualification.
• Experience in an accountancy practice audit environment.
• Strong understanding of UK audit and accounting principles.
• Ability to manage audit assignments and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff is advantageous.

Description

As an Audit Senior, you will:

• Plan, carry out and complete audit assignments for a range of clients.
• Review financial statements to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Identify and address any issues or discrepancies during audits.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members during audit processes.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide updates.
• Identifying key audit findings and discussing recommendations with management.
• Work closely with Managers to ensure a seamless, high-quality service delivery.
• Stay updated with changes in audit regulations and best practices.

Profile

A successful Audit Senior should have:

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or approaching qualification.
• Experience working within an accountancy practice audit environment.
• Strong understanding of UK audit and accounting principles.
• Ability to manage audit assignments and meet deadlines.

Job Offer

• Salary of £36,000 to £44,000, dependent on the level of experience.
