Audit & Risk Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a top 10 UK accountancy firm that specialises in supporting small to mid-sized businesses across a diverse range of industries. They’re now looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s ready to step into more responsibility, manage client relationships, and play a key role in leading audits — all while continuing to develop professionally in a supportive environment.

The Role – What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading the planning and completion of audit assignments
• Managing audit fieldwork and substantive testing (often on-site with clients)
• Preparing statutory financial statements and using your judgment to flag any areas of concern to managers or partners
• Collaborating with your team to meet client expectations and internal deadlines
• Beginning to manage your own portfolio with ongoing support from your manager
• Contributing to client relationships and helping to meet revenue and profitability goals
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members as they progress

• Solid experience working in audit, ideally with a mix of industries across the SME market
• A good working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
• Confidence in managing audits end-to-end and using professional judgment
• A natural mentor who enjoys supporting junior staff
