Job summary

Harvey John in Brighton is seeking an ACA or ACCA qualified Audit Senior to lead statutory audits and support accounts work for a varied client base. You will mentor juniors, develop client relationships, and drive technical excellence while progressing toward a managerial role.

Job description

We have a great opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant to join a leading Brighton based chartered accountancy firm their in well established and growing accounts and audit team as an Audit Senior

This is a varied role for someone with around who enjoys audit (with an element of accounts work) and wants to continue developing their technical and client-facing skills and take on increasing responsibility.

You'll be involved in planning and delivering a range of statutory audits, along with accounts preparation and tax, working with a diverse client base. As you develop, there will be increasing opportunities to improve your technical skills, carry out more complex work and develop client relationships. You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing more junior team members, and to provide them with on the job guidance and support.

The firm has a structured training and development plan and you will be supported in increasing your knowledge and progressing your career to manager and beyond.

About you:

• An ACA or ACCA qualified accountant, with some post qualification experience
• Solid experience in leading audits within practice, along with some accounts exposure
• Confident working with clients and comfortable taking ownership
• Keen to develop your technical skills and take on greater responsibility
• Live within commuting distance of Brighton
