Job summary

Harvey John Recruitment is recruiting an Audit Senior in Brighton for a leading chartered accountancy firm. You will plan and deliver statutory audits, alongside accounts preparation and tax work for a diverse client base.

The role involves mentoring junior staff, developing client relationships, and progressing technically with a clear training path in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified accountant with post-qualification experience.
• Solid experience leading audits within practice and some accounts exposure.
• Confident in client relationships and taking ownership of engagements.
• Willing to commute to Brighton and participate in a hybrid working setup.

Responsibilities

We have a great opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant to join a leading Brighton based chartered accountancy firm their in well established and growing accounts and audit team as an Audit Senior

This is a varied role for someone with around who enjoys audit (with an element of accounts work) and wants to continue developing their technical and client-facing skills and take on increasing responsibility.

You’ll be involved in planning and delivering a range of statutory audits, along with accounts preparation and tax, working with a diverse client base. As you develop, there will be increasing opportunities to improve your technical skills, carry out more complex work and develop client relationships. You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing more junior team members, and to provide them with on the job guidance and support.

The firm has a structured training and development plan and you will be supported in increasing your knowledge and progressing your career to manager and beyond.

About you:

• An ACA or ACCA qualified accountant, with some post qualification experience
• Solid experience in leading audits within practice, along with some accounts exposure
• Confident working with clients and comfortable taking ownership
• Keen to develop your technical skills and take on greater responsibility
• Live within commuting distance of Brighton
