Job summary

Rutherford Briant is seeking an Audit Semi-Senior to join the Crawley team, offering broader exposure and a clear progression path for a part-qualified auditor. You'll work across varied clients from owner-managed businesses to internationals, with hybrid working and ACA/ACCA study support.

You will develop supervisory skills while handling audits from planning to completion, using Caseware/Inflo and UK GAAP.

Responsibilities

A large and successful accountancy and advisory firm is looking for an Audit Semi-Senior to join its growing Crawley team. You will work with an interesting portfolio ranging from ambitious owner-managed businesses to established corporates and international groups.

The opportunity

Working alongside experienced Managers and Audit Seniors, you will gain exposure across the complete audit process rather than remaining confined to isolated sections of larger assignments.

As an Audit Semi Senior you will:

• Work on varied external audit assignments from initial planning through to completion.
• Take ownership of increasingly complex audit sections as your experience develops.
• Build relationships with client finance teams and gain direct client contact.
• Prepare financial statements under UK GAAP.
• Use modern audit technology and data-led techniques to deliver efficient, high-quality work.
• Support junior colleagues and begin developing your supervisory skills.
• Work both remotely and at client sites as part of a collaborative audit team.

As an Audit Semi Senior you will bring:

You will be progressing towards an ACA or ACCA qualification and have gained practical external audit experience within an accountancy firm.

• A good understanding of audit testing and financial statements.
• Experience working with UK GAAP.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The confidence to deal professionally with clients.
• A positive approach to learning and taking on greater responsibility.
• The right to work in the UK without restriction.
• Experience using Caseware, Inflo or similar audit software would be helpful but is not essential.

• Salary of £30,000-£38,000, depending on experience.
