Job summary

Rickard Luckin is recruiting an Audit Semi Senior to join its growing, independent accountancy team in the UK. You will work closely with Seniors, Managers and Directors to deliver high quality audits for a varied client portfolio and progress toward Audit Senior.

You'll receive training and support to build technical and commercial skills, with opportunities for progression and a flexible, hybrid work approach.

Qualifications

• Experience working within an audit environment.
• ACA or ACCA studies underway, recently completed or equivalent practical experience.
• Good understanding of auditing principles and accounting standards.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Good organisation skills and the ability to manage your own workload.
• Confidence communicating with colleagues and clients.
• A commercial mindset and an interest in understanding the businesses you work with.
• A team focused approach and a willingness to support others.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the planning and completion of audits from start to finish
• Taking responsibility for specific sections of audit assignments
• Preparing audit working papers and supporting the completion of audit files
• Performing substantive and analytical audit testing
• Identifying issues and discussing findings with Seniors and Managers
• Building an understanding of clients, their businesses and the risks they face
• Working directly with clients and developing strong professional relationships
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team as your experience develops
• Working collaboratively with our Accounts, Tax and Corporate Finance teams

About The Role

As an Audit Semi Senior, you’ll play an important role within our audit team, working closely with Seniors, Managers and Directors to deliver high quality audits for a varied client portfolio.

This is a great opportunity for someone who already has a good grounding in audit and is looking to take the next step in their career. You’ll gradually take on more responsibility as your experience develops, with the support and training you need to progress towards Audit Senior.

Your role will include

• Assisting with the planning and completion of audits from start to finish
• Taking responsibility for specific sections of audit assignments
• Preparing audit working papers and supporting the completion of audit files
• Performing substantive and analytical audit testing
• Identifying issues and discussing findings with Seniors and Managers
• Building an understanding of clients, their businesses and the risks they face

• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team as your experience develops
• Working collaboratively with our Accounts, Tax and Corporate Finance teams

As you develop, you’ll also have opportunities to get involved in

• Larger and more complex audit assignments
• Group audits and consolidated accounts
• Clients undergoing M&A or restructuring activity
• Accounts and advisory work alongside your core audit experience

About You

We’re looking for someone who is keen to continue developing their audit career and wants to take on increasing responsibility.

You’ll ideally have:
