Job summary

Michael Page Finance is guiding an ambitious North West accountancy practice to appoint an Audit RI who will establish, lead, and grow a brand new audit division. You will be the first audit appointment, building the service line with support from an established practice that already has ready-to-transition opportunities.

Qualifications

• Hold Audit RI status and authorised to sign audit reports.
• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
• Substantial experience managing and delivering audit engagements.
• Strong technical and regulatory knowledge.
• Ambition and capability to build and lead a growing service line.
• Enjoy developing client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
• Combine commercial thinking with strong leadership skills.
• Able to work from the Greater Manchester area.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead a new audit function from inception.
• Act as Responsible Individual for audit engagements.
• Take ownership of a ready-made pipeline of audit clients.
• Develop audit methodologies, processes and quality control procedures.
• Build and grow an audit team as the service line expands.
• Drive business development and identify further audit opportunities.
• Shape the strategic direction of the audit practice with firm leadership.
• Create a high-quality, commercially successful audit offering.
