Cooper Parry is offering an Audit placement year based in our Birmingham office, starting in early September 2027. You'll join a collaborative team delivering statutory audits for a diverse client base.

Qualifications

• You are currently studying an undergraduate degree, seeking a placement year as part of your 4 year programme.
• You’ll need a minimum of 3 A Levels at grades BBC, including at least one numerical or business-related subject.
• You’re open-minded, eager to grow, and ready to challenge yourself.

Responsibilities

• Review client information like invoices, statements, and payroll reports.
• Assess the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
• Attend client year-end stocktakes (weekends around Christmas on occasion).
• Communicate with client finance teams to understand systems and processes.
• Assist in preparing financial statements using audit software.
• Work in small teams to carry out financial testing and contribute to audit reports.
• Meet deadlines and support the team to deliver high-quality work.

About The Role...

Looking to spend your placement year in Audit? Are you naturally curious, always asking questions, and keen to understand how things work? We offer a pathway that supports your growth and helps you work towards becoming a qualified accountant. Our Audit teams are based in our East Midlands and Birmingham office. As an Audit placement student, you’ll be part of a collaborative team, supporting the delivery of statutory audits for a wide range of clients. You’ll gain hands‑on experience, develop your skills, and contribute to work that really matters.

This role will begin in early September 2027 and the Assessment Centres will take place on 4th November, 26th January and 30th March.
