Job summary

PKF Smith Cooper Limited in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Audit Partner to lead and shape the firm's Birmingham audit presence. You will oversee audit engagements, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive growth through client development and team progression.

This senior role offers leadership across the function, working with Partners and the leadership team to set strategic direction and deliver high-quality, commercially aware audits for a diverse client base.

Qualifications

• ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with RI status.
• Proven experience in a senior audit role within a practice.
• Strong technical audit knowledge and a commitment to quality.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in developing teams.
• Commercial awareness and an interest in contributing to growth.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Suitable for an experienced Director or an existing Partner.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements and ensure regulatory compliance and quality.
• Support growth of the audit function locally.
• Collaborate with Partners and leadership on strategic direction.
• Contribute to client development and team progression.
• Balance delivery, leadership and business development.
