Top 100 Firm in Birmingham is seeking an Audit & Accounts Senior to help Partners and Managers deliver high-quality audit and advisory services. The role focuses on leading audits, preparing statutory accounts, and mentoring junior staff.

The ideal candidate is ACA/ACCA qualified with at least 2 years in practice, strong technical knowledge, and proficient with Xero. Excellent communication skills and a client-centric approach are essential.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and taxation principles.
• Proficient with cloud-based software (Xero) and familiar with a range of accounting systems.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and problem-solving ability.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Leading and completing audit assignments both onsite and remotely.
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, VAT, and tax returns.
• Supervising and mentoring junior staff on assignments.
• Contributing to ad-hoc advisory projects and technical compliance work.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships through clear and confident communication.
• Identifying value-added services and opportunities to support clients further.
