Model Risk Audit Manager - up to £95k - London

My client is a UK-focused universal bank with a global markets business, alongside sizeable retail and commercial banking, and a small private bank.

They are seeking a strong auditor looking to step up to an Audit Manager role, or candidates with solid credit risk modelling experience and an understanding of the regulatory environment.

The role involves working with the business to deliver reports and reviews identifying weaknesses in models related to current and upcoming regulations.

This is a unique opportunity to influence the business.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Contributing to the delivery of the audit plan, supporting portfolio leads by managing individual audits.
2. Supporting control testing, identifying areas of concern, and communicating potential impacts to senior management.
3. Building meaningful stakeholder relationships and developing networks to stay informed about business activities and insights.
4. Researching industry best practices and regulatory hot topics to analyze key themes and external trends.
5. Proactively suggesting and implementing improvements to audit processes.
6. Role modeling the group's values and behaviors.
7. Coaching the team with purpose, maintaining presence, and communicating expectations openly.
8. Providing timely, direct, and effective feedback to ensure successful audit plan delivery and positive impact.
