Job summary

Michael Page Banking in Leeds is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of audit engagements from planning through to completion. You will deliver high-quality audit services to owner-managed businesses, large private companies, and listed organisations.

In this role you will manage a varied client base, guide audit teams, review files, and maintain strong client relationships while supporting growth initiatives and partner-led projects.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
• Strong external audit experience in an accountancy practice.
• Experience managing audit assignments and leading teams.
• Good knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102 and/or IFRS.
• Experience working with a range of corporate clients.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive and commercial approach to client service.
• Passion for coaching and developing junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied portfolio of audit clients across multiple sectors.
• Leading audit assignments and ensuring delivery to budget and deadline.
• Reviewing audit files and providing technical guidance to teams.
• Acting as main point of contact for clients and developing relationships.
• Advising clients on accounting and financial reporting matters.
• Identifying opportunities to expand services and support business development.
• Managing, mentoring and developing junior team members.
• Supporting recruitment, training and performance management initiatives.
• Assisting partners and directors with project work and strategic client engagements.
