Job summary

Michael Page Finance is seeking an ambitious Audit Assistant Manager to join its Audit & Assurance team. The role offers hybrid working (2/3 days in the office) and is based with offices in Bolton and Blackburn, Lancashire.

You will lead audit assignments, mentor juniors and collaborate with Managers and Partners to drive client service and growth. The ideal candidate will have ACA/ACCA (or be qualified by experience), strong UK auditing knowledge, and a proactive client-focused approach to

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or be qualified by experience).
• Experience in an accountancy practice audit environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Plan, coordinate and review audit work.
• Manage on-site and remote audit teams.
• Review statutory accounts and audit files.
• Identify risks and ensure compliance with auditing standards.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Assist Managers and Partners with business development and growth initiatives.
