Job summary

Streets is a forward-thinking accountancy practice with over 33 offices across the UK. The Peterborough team supports SME corporates and not-for-profit entities. We seek an audit professional to manage client portfolios and lead a team to deliver high-quality financial statements and audit files.

You will work with UK GAAP, perform risk assessment, and guide junior staff. Travel to client sites, strong communication, and attention to detail are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified.
• General practice experience.
• Strong experience and knowledge of audits and ISAs.
• Willingness to travel to client premises and between offices.
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with UK GAAP in the preparation and analysis of financial statements.
• Design substantive testing, control walkthroughs and analytical review procedures to assess financial risks.
• Prepare and complete audit files for Partner.
• Assess financial risks and recommend improvements to client systems and processes, fostering strong working relationships.
• Attend client meetings with the audit lead Partner.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and compliant audit delivery and support client decision-making processes.
• Manage and support junior colleagues by guiding their technical learning.
• Remain up to date on recent and upcoming changes to FRS’s and ISAs
