Job summary

TPF Recruitment is supporting a distinguished chartered accountancy practice in Tonbridge, Kent. The Audit Manager role offers a permanent position with flexible hours and a hybrid working pattern.

You will manage a portfolio of audit and accounts clients, lead a team of managers, supervise staff and report to partners, with a focus on not-for-profit and corporate clients. Salary ranges £55,000–£70,000 dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified with post-qualification experience, or proven by experience.
• Ability to apply audit standards through practical application.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP.
• Experience with not-for-profit and corporate clients is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver audit and accounts assignments.
• Lead large and complex assignments.
• Review statutory accounts preparation and corporate tax computations.
• Supervise junior staff during audits and review their work.
• Deliver audit files to partners on time.
• Monitor chargeability and assignment budgets.
• Coach staff for performance and development.
• Develop sector knowledge and stay updated on industry trends.
• Mentor audit and accounts trainees and contribute to training.
