Job summary

TPF Recruitment is partnering with a leading accountancy practice to recruit an External Auditor at Assistant Manager level in the Epsom area. You will oversee statutory audits, coach junior staff, and liaise with clients to deliver high-quality work.

The role offers a friendly, collaborative culture with clear progression, flexible and hybrid working options, and exposure to a varied client base across sectors. ACA/ACCA is preferred, with qualification progressing supported.

Qualifications

• Experience in external audit within a UK accountancy practice.
• ACA or ACCA qualification, or currently studying towards one.
• Strong knowledge of UK auditing standards.
• Confident communication with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with and leading statutory audits from planning through to completion.
• Preparing audit files in line with professional standards.
• Performing audit testing, risk assessments and control evaluations.
• Drafting audit reports and management letters.
• Liaising with clients in a professional manner.
• Supporting junior team members during fieldwork.
• Ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining quality.
