Forge Talent is partnering with a high-growth consumer-facing business in Manchester to hire an experienced Audit Manager. You will lead the annual audit process from a Finance perspective, working closely with external auditors and internal teams, ensuring timely reporting and documentation.

The role is ideal for an ACA-qualified accountant seeking to move into industry with broad, commercially focused responsibilities.

Qualifications

• ACA qualified, ideally trained within a Big Four or Top 10 accountancy firm.
• Strong external audit experience.
• Good technical accounting knowledge.
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders.
• Commercially minded with strong attention to detail.
• Able to manage multiple deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Someone who wants to move beyond practice and build their career within industry.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of the annual audit process from the Finance side.
• Working closely with external auditors and internal Finance teams.
• Making sure information, documentation and reporting are delivered accurately and on time.
• Supporting the business with technical accounting queries and year-end matters.
• Reviewing financial processes and identifying areas where things could work better.
• Helping strengthen controls and improve the overall finance environment.
• Working with senior stakeholders across Finance and the wider business.
• Getting involved in wider projects as the business continues to grow.

This is a great opportunity for an ACA-qualified accountant coming from an external audit background who is looking to make the move into industry and take on a broad, commercially focused role within a growing business.
