Jobs4 is recruiting an Audit Manager in London for a Top 100 accountancy firm following a newly acquired client. The role offers an 80/20 split between Audit and Accounts with significant responsibility for client relationships and staff development.

You will lead audits from planning through to completion, supervise junior staff, and work closely with Partners to resolve technical matters. ACA/ACCA qualification with UK practice experience is essential.

A new opportunity for a qualified Audit Manager to join a Top 100 accountancy firm based in London, as a result of a newly acquired client based.

About the Client Our client is an established Top 100 accountancy firm with national coverage who provide audit, accounts, tax and advisory services to a varied portfolio of businesses. The offices are in a fantastic central London location with good hospitality options for client entertainment.

The Role As an Audit Manager the role offers a varied workload, split approximately 80% Audit and 20% Accounts, with substantial responsibility for managing client relationships and developing staff.

The position would suit someone who enjoys leading assignments, supporting a team and being a trusted point of contact for clients.

• Manage a portfolio of audit and accounts clients, building strong relationships and overseeing the delivery of assignments
• Lead audits from planning through to completion, managing budgets, deadlines and resources
• Supervise, coach and develop team members, providing clear guidance and constructive feedback
• Work closely with Partners, keeping them informed of progress and resolving technical or client matters
• Coordinate workloads across assignments, ensuring staff have the support they need to deliver high-quality work
• Identify opportunities to provide additional support to clients as their businesses develop
• Review statutory accounts and ensure work meets the relevant technical and reporting requirements

About the Candidate The successful Audit Manager will be a qualified accountant with strong audit and accounts experience gained within UK accountancy practice, and will look to continue their audit career.

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent
• Strong audit and accounts experience gained within UK accountancy practice
• Experience leading audit assignments and reviewing the work of junior staff
• Sound knowledge of UK auditing standards and financial reporting requirements
• Confident managing client relationships and communicating technical matters clearly
• Organised and commercially aware, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
• An approachable manager who enjoys helping others develop
• Able to commute to the firm's London offices
