Mellis Blue Limited in Middlesex is seeking a Permanent Audit Manager to oversee all audit files from planning to completion for a mix of trading companies and charities.

You will lead or manage audits, ensure work is delivered to budget and timelines, review financial statements under UK GAAP, and present findings to senior management and Audit Committees.

Formación

• ACA / ACCA qualified etc (or qualified by experience)
• Experience in planning, leading and completing statutory audits
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with clients and committees

We are currently seeking a dedicated Permanent Audit Manager to join our client’s dynamic team in Middlesex. This role involves full responsibility for managing all audit files from start to finish, The successful candidate will need to independently handle a variety of audits, including those for substantial trading companies and a couple of charities. You will act as the sole reviewer for your work, so it is essential that you are sufficiently experienced to complete audit files accurately and efficiently. Clear, professional communication skills are a must, both written and verbal, to maintain the high standards expected by our esteemed clients.

Depending on your level, you will either lead or manage audits from planning through to completion, with real scope to develop sector specialisms, progress quickly, and take ownership of client relationships over time.

Key Responsibilities of the Audit manager

• Managing and/or planning, leading and completing statutory audits from start to finish (scope dependent on level)
• Managing and developing strong relationships with audit clients throughout the year
• Coordinating audit teams and ensuring work is delivered to budget and agreed timelines
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing a proactive and solutions-focused service
• Reviewing audit work and financial statements in line with UK GAAP and sector-specific requirements
• Preparing and presenting audit findings to senior management, Audit Committees and Boards
• Supporting business development activity, proposals and new client opportunities
• Opportunity to be involved in wider assurance and advisory work as experience grows
• Participating in firm-wide initiatives, training and professional development
