Effective L&D requires specialist resources who partner with the Audit Stream to identify and respond to training needs. It involves careful planning, project management, a critical-thinking and commercial mindset, and understanding regulatory requirements. Incorporating the latest innovations, tools, and technology is essential to develop tailored, relevant, and timely learning solutions.

We are excited to offer this opportunity for a talented, high-performing individual to join our Audit Stream L&D team as a Senior Design Consultant, supporting the development of our new curriculum with the latest learning innovations and technology. This role suits those with instructional design experience or a technology background seeking to leverage their skills in learning.

The role reports to the Innovation and Technology team leader and sits within our Learning Development team, led by the Development and Monitoring Lead (DAM).

The Learning Development team comprises learning designers responsible for designing and curating content for the Audit programme, aiming to create impactful, innovative solutions that meet learner needs and deliver business outcomes.

The Innovation and Technology team supports the design process through the latest thinking, technology, and tools. They collaborate with technical and non-technical teams and subject matter experts to ensure solutions are sustainable and leverage the latest advances. Activities include creating digital learning, video editing, adapting in-person learning for remote access, and troubleshooting design challenges to enhance learning effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and development of programmatic content using the latest learning design theories, tools, and technology to meet the Stream's needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with content SMEs and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Design, curate, and create content for the Audit curriculum, collaborating with the authoring team under the guidance of the Development and Monitoring Lead.
  • Coach L&D team members on tools, technology, and instructional design principles.
  • Work closely with Lead Authors and Design Secondees to develop content, ensuring a coordinated approach that leverages the best tools and design thinking.
  • Introduce and develop innovative, high-quality digital learning solutions using tools like Articulate Storyline 360, Articulate Rise, and Adobe Creative Cloud suite.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Background in program development, content design, or similar fields.
  • Experience in transforming face-to-face learning into engaging digital content.
  • Ability to translate learning needs into objectives and outcomes, and coordinate responses.
  • Experience with video production and editing, including filming and editing with tools like Adobe Premier Pro or After Effects.
  • Experience creating eLearning content with Articulate Storyline and Rise is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud or similar tools.
  • Attention to detail, with an understanding of branding and design parameters.
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to present technical content engagingly.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage own time and projects effectively.
  • Focus on operational excellence and quality.
