Job summary

Nationwide is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead assurance across Technology, Operational Resilience and applications. You will deliver timely audits, identify control weaknesses, and drive practical actions to strengthen governance and customer outcomes.

Hybrid working is offered; two days per week in the Swindon, London or Glasgow offices with flexibility for part-time arrangements. You will influence senior stakeholders and help shape the assurance approach across critical services.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable audit or control assurance experience in technology or operational resilience.
• Experience leading assurance engagements from planning to final reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to produce clear audit documents.
• Proven stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leaders.
• Strong analytical, organisational and planning skills.
• Experience coaching or developing others.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, scoping and delivery of risk-based audits across Technology and Operational Resilience.
• Identify emerging risks and control themes to strengthen resilience and security of critical services.
• Build trusted stakeholder relationships and coach colleagues.
• Contribute to audit planning, portfolio risk assessments and committees.
