Job summary

MHA in Preston is seeking a talented Audit Executive to join our dynamic team. You will manage a diverse client portfolio, deliver high-quality audits, and report to Managers, Directors, and Partners.

We value people-focused development; ACA/ACCA qualified candidates with practice experience are encouraged to apply. You will supervise juniors, coordinate planning, and contribute to insightful audit outcomes.

Qualifications

• Qualified with ACA or ACCA and practice experience.
• Experience in audit and regulatory compliance.
• Proficient in audit software and Microsoft Office.
• Experience supervising junior staff (6–12 months preferred).
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards.
• Good communication, organisation and client service.
• Commercial awareness and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients across industries, meeting deadlines and reporting to Managers/Directors/Partners.
• Coordinate client correspondence, schedule, and timing of work.
• Prepare planning memoranda, identify risk areas, and gather audit evidence efficiently.
• Supervise and review work of seniors and juniors before handover.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely compliance work.
• Collate raw data and present concise summaries for review.
• Monitor filing deadlines including corporation tax and Companies House filings.
• Conduct on-site visits and act as a trusted advisor to clients.
